Crab Attack privacy policy

Last updated 29 October 2026

Crab Attack is a beach game you play on your own device. It does not collect, store or share any personal information. It sends us a few anonymous counts so we can tell which ads bring players to the game.

What the game keeps

To remember your progress, the game saves a few settings on your device only:

These never leave your device. Deleting the app, or clearing the website's data in your browser, removes them.

What the game tells us

When the game is opened for the first time, and each time a round is cleared, it sends our server a short note saying which of these happened, on which platform (web, iPhone or Android), the difficulty and the round. If you reached the website from an ad or a tagged link, the note also carries that link's campaign tags (such as utm_campaign, or the gclid or fbclid that Google and Meta add to ad links). Our host, Cloudflare, adds the country the request came from.

The note contains no name, account, device identifier, IP address or score history, and nothing in it links one note to another or to you. We use these counts only to see how many players each campaign brings and how far they get, and we don't sell or share them.

Ads on Meta and Google

If you install the iOS app after seeing an ad, Apple's SKAdNetwork may tell the ad network, and us, that an ad led to an install, along with a number showing how far the player got (opened, or how many rounds were cleared). Apple sends this anonymously, after a delay, without any identifier for you or your device. The app doesn't use Apple's advertising identifier, doesn't ask to track you, and has no ad network code inside.

What the game does not do

Buying the app

The iOS app is bought once from the App Store and has no in-app purchases. Apple handles the payment under Apple's privacy policy; we don't receive your name, payment details or Apple Account.

Game Center

If you're signed in to Game Center on your iPhone, the iOS app sends your scores and achievements to Apple's Game Center so they appear on the leaderboard and in your Game Center profile. Apple handles this under Apple's privacy policy; we don't receive your name or Apple Account. You can turn Game Center off in Settings at any time.

Website and app

The web version is served by Cloudflare, which handles standard web requests to deliver the page. When you test the iOS app through TestFlight, Apple shares crash reports and any feedback you choose to send with the developer, under Apple's privacy policy.

Children

Because the game collects no personal information and the counts above are anonymous, it is suitable for players of any age.
